Hello Spartans,

I was recently contacted by John Watson fellow Spartan on the whereabouts of Coach Ernie Treubig. I was able to exchange e-mails with him and added him on my facebook account.

Coach Treubig was nice enough to send me some great pictures from the 1985 season. You will find them on the USAFE Football Web site under the Alconbury Spartans main page.

My name is Jim Roch and I played for the Alconbury Spartans in 1978-1979. I was hoping to find some of my fellow players. I know one player Jim Ussery is still playing football for the Peterborough team just outside Alconbury.

I was one of the Army guys who played for the Spartans. I wore #60 and #85 in '72 and '73.

Hi All. My name is Mark Harris and I played for the Spartans in 1980-1982. I was a linebacker and wore #50. I also played at Mildenhall from 1985-1989. It would be great to hook up with my old team mates

Alconbury Spartan #52 '79 & '80 ! Played defensive line, linbacker, long snaps for punt and extra points. Good memories, the best from my tour on "The Rock"!!!

Great site, I played for the Spartans in the '87 season, receiver, kick/punt returner, Bob Salsbery. Good memories! !

Hi all, Bill Bailey here. I played Tight End #81 for the Spartans with Mark Harris, Elmo Tillar, John Pohill, Russ Ellis (Big E), Pat Rogers... What a great time we had. I have been in touch with Rogers, Ellis and Pohill. Would be nice to be able to get together sometime and talk about all the good games and plays; i.e...The hook and ladder from Pohill to Hank Harmon for a TD against Heyford.

This is Greg Prince.  I played RB at RAF Alconbury the years of 1990 and 1991.  Those were some great times.  Trying to see if anyone has any old photos/videos of the football action.
